Information from Chris Bayless (Cousin)

Stan graduated from USC in January of 1970, married Mitzi Lewison in June of that same year. They lived in Belmont Shores, CA but had separated at the time of his death. They had no children. Stan died of a heart attack while jogging on
January 5, 1990.
Stan's last job was with the USC County Health Center in research and interaction of different drugs and medications. He had done similar type work prior to USC for the county but was fortunate to get that job because he didn't have a Dr. degree. He was working on his Masters but had not completed it. He was a great runner and had run in the LA marathon and completed it three different times. He had not been in the best of health though for a while, even though he was careful of his diet and always did a lot of exercise and never gained weight. He may have weighed around 170. In college and High School he had been much heavier. Stan was always into vitamins and health even in junior high. Told he had two health problems in junior high and high school, he did a lot of research into figuring out how to manage his health and live his life to the fullest. Dianne will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Frank Rizzo, who went to St. Francis High School but was close friends with many CV kids, told me that Diannne was killed in a car accident some years ago. He did not know when or any other details. Curt Groniga remembers: "Diane Gira was a faculty member with a PhD in Economics at Cal State Dominguez Hills when I was an Asst Dean there in the 70s. I believe she must have died around 77 or 78. Odd coincidence was that Stan Cholewinski was working on his Master's Degree there at about the same time."

We heard from Dona (White) Hagedorn (class of 63) that her husband and our classmate, Curt, passed away on October 14, 2008. Curt and I have been friends since 1961 and he will be missed. He leaves his wife Dona and daughter Lori. A daughter, Shelby, was killed 5/5/07. Curt was a Viet Nam vet, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and had spent most of his adult life with the CHP. --- John Maniccia [November 9, 2008]

Ken Dohrmann reported on May 4, 2008 that his wife, Charlaine Hall Dohrman died in Flagstaff AZ, September of 2005. She is survived by her husband, 2 children, and 4 grandchildren. Rest in Peace, Charlaine.

Steve Hoagland was born on January 9, 1945. He died on February 10, 2007. Steve remarked to me the week prior to his death that all that he had planned to do in his life had turned out the way he hoped. He was always helpful, kind, and accepting of others' opinions. He is survived by his wife Ann, sister, Elaine, and his mother. Steve spent his life teaching others and retired from his high school teaching position in Ventura California. After retirement he and his wife spent their retirement traveling and enjoying life. Steve will be remembered by all those that knew him.
