Comments: Here is a brief run down of what I have been up to
all these years:
After high school I spent 7+ years in the Army. I was
stationed in Viet Nam(bad), Okinawa(good), &
Germany(great) and I was able to visit Bangkok, Taipei,
Tokyo, plus all over Germany & Italy and other parts of
Europe(really cool).
I worked as a Handyman/General Contractor in California for
over 20 years then retired to New Mexico. I was getting
totally sick & tired of the crime, polution, etc., in
LA, then the Northridge Earthquake hit---I said, bye bye
LA!
I raised my daughter as a single father since she was 3
years old.
I wrote the only how-to book pertaining to evaporative
"swamp" coolers. These coolers are primarily only used in
arid areas of the western US. You can check the book out at
www.easycoolercare.com
I learned to scuba dive at 55 yrs old (yes, here in the
desert). I did so in preparation for a 7 week trip to
Australia and New Zealand with my daughter. We wanted to
spend a full week diving the Great Barrier Reef. Wow! What
an experience of a lifetime.
I currently run a couple of small home-based businesses.
The current highlight of my life is being "Grandpa Daycare"
about 7-8 hours per day, 5 days per week for my infant
granddaughter, born December 2, 2005. What a Christmas
gift!! I'm currently attemting to build a MySpace
site.

the beach with another great guy, Thom
Osborne. I will always remember
Dewitt's great personality , sense of humor and love for
guitar and music (especially the Beatles). He was home from
Viet Nam for only a short time when he was taken.

Maureen passed away in January of

I just wanted to say that in regards to
my sister passing away in January 2002, well, she has an
entry on the class of 1966 with her information, however;
she is missed intensely! She had her own business Tyler
Appraisal company in San Marcos, California, was an Escrow
officer, also was a representative for Mary Kay Cometics, a
Soccer Referee, loved Tennis, Las Vegas, had a beautiful
dynamic personality, and was very active in her community of
San Marcos, Vista, Escondido, and Carlsbad, San Diego. She
would also spend a lot of time with her 6 grandkids who
played soccer; she was their coach. When Maureen passed away
of lung cancer, she had been married 32 years to Tom
Hagerthy of Glendale; he attended Hoover High School. I miss
our nightly chats!!! and her warm hugs her disposition and
