I transferred to cover a territory in the northeast US in 1998, and moved to northeastern Vermont. We have 70 acres of woods and fields in a small town, and just love it here. We "retired" from our corporate jobs in 2001 to work on our unfinished house. We quickly became involved in volunteer organizations and a number of projects aimed at increasing broadband availability in rural Vermont (see www.VTRuralBroadband.org for some of these). THe house is still no finished, but we are having a ball. Sorry I missed the 40th reunion. The invitation went to the wrong address and didn't arrive until a few days before the reunion. |

Maybe the 50th will be a brighter day.....here's wishing we all make it to the next one, and it was nice to see many faces from my youth. Best to all now and in the future. Comments: Comments: Hello, everyone who may be interested. I have gone a long time before doing something like this. I hope this finds everyone well, having a good life. I have read things here that have made me happy and sad. So many memories came back when I saw familiar faces, some I went from kindergarten through high school with. Maybe we can find ways to get together that are positive and FUN! For anyone who remembers me in rock bands, I went on to get my BA/MA in music, and lived in NYC a couple of years as an opera singer(screaming just as loud, but no amplifiers) I came back in 1980, went back into teaching in 1984 teaching math and computers for LAUSD, while continuing my choral/classical/solo singing part time for the past 30 years. I still watch over my parents who live in the same house I grew up in. My favorite color is now grey......... [November 4, 2007] |

As faces and names reconnected with memories, an amazing closeness arose from the shared experiences that had knit us all together. Smiles, hugs, reminiscences and updates were now being added to an enlarging history, while all of that history was infused with love. Those younger years were revisited, openly, or deep within the heart…a loved family, gone or still with us; first experiences of inventing or discovering ourselves; first passions for sports, music, a study; life-shaping bonds with friends; inspirations from teachers….all now with an added appreciation. And, with the years, for me, came the freedom of pure joy in the presence of…a well-known friend, one whom I knew very little, or even someone I never really knew at all. This all came with the 40th reunion, and another very deep wave of reconnection came with the shared sorrows and memories when dear Michael Barbee passed away in May. An inspiration to all, and joined to as a kindred spirit by many, please read the tributes to Mike where he is pictured on this website. Having raised a family and been an elementary school teacher for 15 years, I have recently retired and am evolving my next way to support others with love and honoring. I am pictured here with my first granddaughter, now joined by a second, with both daughters and their families living nearby. I got married and moved away. I have lived in many states. I now live in a very rural village in Idaho. I moved away from California during the last few months of my senior year. I graduated from Provo High in Provo, Utah. I have five sons. I am very proud of them. Shane is an orthopedic surgeon. (specializing in spine ) Justin is with the police force. (also a fireman and a paramedic) Jeremy is at Cooley Law School. Jamie is in the concert business. Nathan is still attending school, next year he will go to grad. school to study Political Science. The boys are married and I am the grandmother of 12 grandchildren. We have started a tradition, which is, each summer, for one week, the grandchildren come to "Camp Grandparents." We do day hikes, camping, riding old "Fred" (horse) and exploring the outdoors. It is way fun, try it! I have written a couple of books on family histories. I do extensive research in family histories. I keep very busy in our community and home life. I even go Elk hunting with my husband. I am not a city girl, country is my life. [November 5, 2006] |

Dennis and I became friends at CV after we both endured Doug Carter's biology class in our junior year. In our senior year he met Nancy Trader, a sophomore. After we graduated from CV and were going to Glendale College, we both worked part-time at Swanson's Furniture in Montrose delivering furniture. Dennis & Nancy were married in 1971 after Dennis had graduated from Cal State L.A. with a Bus. Admin. degree. Dennis got a job as an auditor with the State after graduating, later managing an auditing group that audited hospitals. Over the years, he and Nancy lived in Whittier, Brea, and Placerville. One trip I will always remember took place on a Friday night in 1970 when I was on leave from the Air Force and we three were sitting in Shakey's about midnight and decided to drive to Vegas. Dennis loved to take road trips, so we packed our stuff and took off through the desert in his VW square-back in time to arrive in Vegas for breakfast. During the summer of '99, Dennis stopped
by our house in Valencia on his way home from a business
trip. He told me he felt at peace with his life. He and
Nancy had raised 2 great kids, Sarah & Adam (both are
now college grads and on their own), and moved to
Placerville and built their dream home -- a beautiful 4600
sq. ft. house on 4 acres in the trees with a stream running
through the property. He told me that he had to have his
carotid arteries cleaned out. It sounded like a
straight-forward operation, but while he was in the recovery
room after the second procedure, things went wrong and he
went into a coma, never to return. He died on St. Patrick's
Day of 2000. 50 is just too damn soon. Dennis was a true
friend and someone I hope to see again someday. I raise a
glass to him every St. Patty's Day. |

Clifford Terrel "Terry" Waters Marital Status: single Children: no Reunion: Terry passed away on November 10th, 2001 in Mammoth Lakes, California. He spent the last year tethered to an oxygen line and died of final stages emphysema. He would of been better off if Mr. Addison (the boy's advisor at CV) had been able to better interdict Terry on his trips to Tobacco Road. He will always be remembered by those of us who knew him as an outgoing, friendly, caring, and funny guy. He was an accomplished guitarist.
