My father became ill and I needed to be with him. He is

to California I was able to spend some time in the most
beautiful place on the Pacific Ocean, Santa Barbara. What a
beautiful place and how I forgot such beauty. Don't take for
granted what you have out there in California. I will never
forget the waves crashing onto the shoreline and the sunset
was just spectacular. Santa Barbara brought back such
wonderful memories of "ditching school" is a memory I'll

Deceased 12-31-76 Brent and his fiance were returning to
college in Colorado when a drunk driver in a truck slammed
head on into Brent's VW. They were both killed instantlty. I
was at my parent's house (2 houses down from the Millages)
when Brent's father told us what happened. Even thirty years
later the events and emotions of that day are crystal clear.
For years I babysat Brent, Clay(class of 74, deceased 2006),
and Ann (class of 76), and my brother Jim Rae had been a
close friend of Brent's since they were small. Brent was one
of those rare individuals who are smart, athletic,
personable, and just plain fun to be around. He is currently
survived by his parents and his sister Ann.

Reunion: Well boys and girls, after one move to Hawaii and
back and then one move to Utah and back, I figure that SoCal
is my home. The 911 disaster hit the Miller house pretty
squarely, I was one of the 81 Mechanics that United Airlines
had to furlough from LAX. Both of United's aircraft and
crews that were destroyed that day were "regulars" at LAX.
Luckily I have been blessed with a life situation
comfortable enough that an 8 month layoff did not wipe me
out, I stay busy with my at-home workshop and expect to be
back to work soon. I enjoy hearing from CV Alumni of any
year.

Our lives are quickly passing by, friendships are
everlasting. We do not know how long we will be here, but

that time I will be walking and out of this wheelchair.
Comments: It was wonderful seeing everyone at the 30th. Hope
to see everyone again at the 35th. I hope you are all
appreciating the wonderful time we have in this life, to
reconnect, share and experience all there is to our lives. I
am happy to report that I am now a 7 year survivor of
malignant melanoma (2000) and am currently trying to recover
from the amputation of my right leg above the knee, (June
2006) due to another form of cancer, not related to the
melanoma, this time leiomyosarcoma. I have had many
complications from this surgery and as yet am still waiting
my chance to learn to walk again. My eldest, Trinity, is in
her second year of college. Her hearts desire is to be a
country recording artist. We have been told that she has
what it takes. She is also a great character actor.
Hopefully, we will find the right doors to open for her. She
is seriously considering trying out for American Idol this
coming summer. My youngest, Tristin, is in her junior year
o! f high school. Her sport of choice is jumping horses. She
wants to go to Texas A&M and be on the equestrian team
there. Life is so good. I thank the Lord that I have had the
opportunity to experience this phase of my life, but
wouldn't wish it on anyone I know. [April 7,
