Comments: Since high school I have mostly been in transportation. For many years I manufactured machine parts for Heavy Trucks, Race Cars, Commercial Airliners, and some things that went supersonic, balistic, and orbital! But now lately, my activities have been for more down to earth, and I'm some sort of a Roads Scholar without having to go to England! I do pavement research with Dynatest, with our current project involving: UC Davis, CalTrans, and the Federal Highway Admistration. Currently at this writing, we are using a Heavy Vehicle Simulator on SR 89 about 40 miles north of Truckee, CA, in the Plumas National Forest. Our machine is named "Susie" and can simulate 20 years of heavy truck traffic in as little time as a 60 day test. "Susie" is such a beautiful machine, but after we did her last makeover two years ago, she picked up a little weight and hit the scales at a little over 136,000 lbs! And believe it or not, we control "Susie" from a desktop computer using! DOS 6.22! [August 8, 2003]

	[August 14, 2003] Chris (Lehman) Braden left this earth on Mothers' Day 2000. She was married with 4 daughters, and even with what she went through, remained calm and faithful.  I met Chris in 2nd grade at Monte Vista Elementary.  We scrubbed our faces with lipstick in 6th grade so we could tell everybody that we had been initiated into the 7th grade.  Chris was one of my Bridesmaids. She continued her education and became an Interior Decorator, as I went to live in Tahoe to become a full-fledged flower child.
