home. My oldest son, Nate graduated from Verdugo Hills and
is taking a little time off from school, working at a local
tire company and still at home. He has been to Mexico on a
missionary trip with our church, and plans to join his Uncle
Kurtis and Aunt Claudia (Calahan) Daniels (class of '77,
check them out!) on a missionary trip to Costa Rica this
summer. Youngest son, Steve is in 10th grade at Verdugo
Hills. He has been to Mexico twice with our church doing
missionary work. All my children are devoted to Christ and
serving Him in various ways. They are my dream come true.

works at Sonoma State University and my youngest daughter,
Megan, will graduate Healdsburg High School in June 2011. I
currently work as a paralegal specializing in Elder Care and

to my youngest finding her way in the world and leaving the
nest, for me to find my life partner, traveling and dancing

I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two
visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I wasdoing "fairly
well" for my age. A little concerned about that comment, I
couldn't resist asking him, "Do you think I'll live to be
80?" Then he asked, "Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or
wine?" "Oh no," I replied. "I'm not doing drugs, either!"
Then he asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued
ribs?" I said, "No, my former doctor said that all red mea
is very unhealthy!" "Do you spend a lot of time in the sun,
like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?" "No, I
don't," I said. He asked, "Do you gamble, drive fast cars,
or have a lot of sex?" "No," I said. "I don't do any of
those things and I work very hard and long hours." He looked
at me and said, "Then, why do you care?"

back to settle down in Virginia Beach where Dave retired
from the Marine Corp. We have two great kids! Carole Ann is
19, and a sophomore at James Madison University in

and a sophomore at Tallwood High in Virginia Beach. He is an
avid baseball player and all-around funny man! We actually
got to go back inside CV the last day of school on [June

campus. It was so fun to see all the kids come running out
of the school when the bell rung for summer vacation. Both
