friends graduated then and the 1977 reunion next time.
Comments: I was at CV in 1975 for 10th grade and my bro,
Steve, was in 11th. I didn't graduate from CV but all my
friends and ex's were CV Falcons. They mostly graduated in
1974 and 1975. I attended 1974 Grad Night at Disneyland and
their Prom at the Queen Mary. The best years of my life were
spent in La Crescenta at Rosemont Jr High and CV. I moved to
Maryland in April, 2004. We live on the Eastern Shore on
Kent Island. It's on the Chesapeake Bay across from
Annapolis, MD. My husband and I have been married 20 years
now. Ken works and commutes to DC, working for the Federal
Aviation Administration. He also has a business contracting
with a couple CA airports, fixing and repairing the VOR and
other equipment used for planes to land, etc. So we still go
back and forth to CA. My eldest daughter, Chanel, works
full-time for Northrup Grumman in Baltimore. She also goes
to night school to finish her last year for her BA.
Stephanie goes to Cheasapeake College full-time and spends
her free time with her boyfriend and friends. Trevor is in
middle school and loves to dirtbike as much as possible. He
also loves paintball, airsoft guns, skateboarding, surfing,
etc. Anything that gives me gray hairs. He makes his extra
money by crabbing and then selling them to the locals. As a
family, we love to go ! boating, crabbing, fishing, etc.
Most of all, we love travelling. I have all my kids living
at home, which I love. We have two huges dogs and three
cats. I have a full house and love being a homemaker. I'm
very blessed with my loving and close family. I look forward
to hearing from old friends.

Bradley Paul Nuremberg died while scuba diving
off San Miguel Island, July 10, 1980, a month after his 21st
birthday. He was a senior, majoring in Marine Biology, at U.
C. Santa Barbara, and worked part time as a deckhand at Sea
Landing Sports Fishing.
Brad loved the ocean, fishing, and scuba diving. He is
greatly missed.

Comments: Time for an update... I've now been in Santa Cruz
for more than 30 years, arriving as a college freshman and
recently completing my 25th year employed by UCSC. My twin
sons, Aren and Jed, just turned ten last month and have
grown into large, stinky boys -- not quite the fresh, little
bundles they were at birth. For their first five years, I
worked part-time and joined Katie in raising them; once they
were in school, I returned to UCSC full-time and, about a
year ago, returned to being Director of Transportation and
Parking Services (TAPS). That was a wonderful time...
At work, I'm responsible for overseeing parking management,
transit services, alternative transportation programs
(vanpools, carpools, bikes, etc.) and, most recently, many
of the transportation-related aspects of climate change
initiatives: promoting use of alternative-fueled vehicles,
reducing UCSC's "carbon footprint" and working with local
and regional agencies to coordinate efforts toward the same
outcome. I continue to serve on the board of directors of
the local Natural History Museum, a Transportation
Management Association, and a local public radio station.
Live is busy but good, and I'm thrilled to be married to a
wonderful woman who's birthday coincides with every class
reunion at the end of July... I'd enjoy seeing many of you,
but first things first and that's my wife's birthday.

Comments: Wow- 30 years is so hard to imagine! I hope all is
well with you, and your family.
I went through a bit of change since our last reunion. In
2003 a key client bankruptcy brought the end to a very
healthy 9 year old insurance brokerage that I had founded,
and then 2004 regretfully brought the end to my 15 year
marriage to Suzanne. Massive turbulence, and a changed
lifestyle followed. Starting over, I changed my career , and
location and am happy to report that I am moving forward
again I recently moved from La Canada to Pasadena. (Both my
boys still live in, and attend La Canada. Schools) Derrick,
and Douglas. are going into the tenth and fourth grade,
respectively. Both enjoy baseball, soccer, the outdoors,
surfing, swimming, boating , and all the usual stuff . My
greatest standing accomplishment will always be my boys, as
they are just the BEST, and are both destined to be really
good men.
While I am still a licensed insurance broker, I now sell
Real Estate with the Coldwell Banker/Pasadena/South Lake
office. I service clients in the La Crescenta, La Canada,
and Pasadena, Foothill, San Gabriel and Southern California
region. While I am positioned to handle any normal
residential or commercial real estate transaction, I
specialize in the very challenging world of Foreclosure, and
Probate. With frequency I am involved in negotiating exit
strategies for challenged property owners, or negotiating
value acquisitions for investors seeking to grow wealth.
In reflection, and many thanks to all of you, my days in the
Cresenta Valley were just perfect. I am hopeful that my
children will have a similar experience as they pass through
high school

I had known Mike since we were 11 years
old. I first met him at Clark Jr High in a history class.
We'd been friends ever since. We got into all sorts of
trouble growing up. He eventually married and moved to
Rancho Santa Margarita. He had two wonderful boys. He began
working for the Orange County Register until his
diabetes forced him to leave. His diabetes had been steadily
getting worse. During the last 5 years, he had numerous
heart attacks, eye problems, dialysis, and lost one of his
legs below the knee. He loved the Dodgers and was thinking
about having his false leg painted Dodger blue. During this
time he never lost his spirit and was constantly reminding
me how great his kids were and how good his life was. I am
saddened that I did not get a chance to visit him more often

Comments: It amazes me how very fast time does go by with
this being the year where the majority of us turn 50. I
remember when I used to think that 50 was old...not any
more! Now, I think of it as it being the beginning of the
best part of my life! Like my oldest daughter said to me the
other day, "Mom, 50 is the new 30!" (Yes, I do have a very
smart daughter who knows the right things to say to her
mom!) Of course, age brings wisdom, strength and experience,
which I am thankful for. I feel very blessed by God to have
had a marvelous life, thus far, and I am really looking
forward to what else He has instore for my future. I live in
Central California by Modesto, which has become my home for
now (I do miss Southern California very much at times!). My
oldest daughter just graduated from the University of the
Pacific in Stockton with a double major (English/Philosophy)
and a minor (Film) with Honors in 3 years and a perfect 4.0
GPA. I am a very proud mom! She is planning on Grad School,
but first she wants to study abroad in Spain. My youngest
daughter will be starting as a Freshman in high school this
Fall and she is following in her big sister's footsteps
being in GATE/Honors classes and high expectations of
herself. She hopes to be a 5th grade teacher some day. I
keep busy with my girls, my family, my church, and my many
wonderful friends...oh, and my two Siamese kitties! I hope
to make the next reunion...whenever that may be. Oh, if
anyone went to Mt. Olive and was in my 6th grade class, or

June. The last 18 years we have lived in Santa Clarita where
we have raised our three kids. Our oldest son Kyle graduated
from USC. film school and is pursing his career, working on

lives in Glendale where she works as a C.H.P. dispatcher.
Our youngest son Brian is finishing his first year of high
school at Valencia High. He played football this year, but
his real love is hockey and that is how we spend our
weekends traveling from one ice rink to the next. Every
summer Mike and I, take the kids and their friends down to
Newport beach for two weeks. This has become quite a
tradition and something we look forward to every year. Mike
still has his love of cars and spends his spare time
restoring them with the boys. I'm currently involved with
"Relay for Life," working to raise money for the American
cancer society. It is our team's second year and we are
already way ahe! ad of last years goal. We hope one day to
retire to Carpentaria.

Comments: Hey fellow students! Can you believe that our 30th
high school reunion is over! What a fun time I had visiting
with old friends. We have all aged gracefully and look
pretty darn good for graduating from high school 30 years
ago! I'm still in St. David, Arizona working as a special
ed. Preschool teacher for the local school district. It is a
fun job and I enjoy it; it keeps me laughing cause kids will
tell you just about anything! They also make you say things
you never thought you'd say! I never thought I'd hear "don't
put sand down his butt crack" come out of my mouth!!! (I was
too late with my advice--sand was not only in his butt
crack, but down his underwear and pants!) Out of mine and
Craig's 11 children, we only have 4 at home and one of those
is getting ready to graduate from high school. Three left to
go! 5 of our kids are married and we have 2 granddaughters
with 1 grandchild on the way and many more to come. Most of
our kids live in Arizona but 3 of them have emigrated to
southern Idaho--guess they got tired of the desert life. 3
of the married kids are still in college, but my daughter
Jessica will graduate from ASU in December--right before her
baby is born! High School brings back many good memories--we
had some fun in the late 70's even if we did dress a little
funny and some of the boys permed their hair into afro's
(Mike McCall!) or parted it into Donald Trump combovers
(Craig Christopherson!) Well, at least back then all the
boys had hair and no one had gray in theirs! Ahh, the good
old days! There weren't enough of us at the 30th reunion, so
lets try to get more of our classmates out for our 40th in

Reunion: I'm alive and well in Cottonwood, AZ. I can't
believe after 30 years I am just now updating my CVHS alumni
page! A lot has happened since 1977, not to mention we
didn't have Internet back then, so I have an excuse, however
lame it might be. After graduating from high school I worked
as a medical transcriptionist and then earned a BA in
Journalism/Public Relations from Cal State Long Beach. I met
the guy of my dreams and married him in 1989. Gary and I
lived in Oregon for six years and have been in Arizona for
almost 14. I have my own transcription business and have
worked at home for the past 10 years. This year I decided to
venture out and, in addition to transcribing part time, am
now working at the County Health Clinic as a medication
assistant, and am baking for a restaurant in Sedona (this
job is my playtime!). Life has plagued us with a lot of
bumps and bruises along the way. We lost a baby girl in
1991, Erin Nieve, (premature/stillborn) and one year later
endured months of bed rest with my second pregnancy. I
survived two open-heart surgeries (for a congenital defect)
and in between the two developed a postop problem which
almost took my life. Gary is definitely a man of integrity.
He has been beside me every step of the way, and a source of
strength through the years. We just recently jumped another
hurdle as Gary was diagnosed with a brain tumor and
underwent transsphenoidal surgery (through the nose) on
1/9/08. I am happy to report he is doing well
postoperatively. But please remember us in your prayers!
Along with all the trauma we have also been truly blessed.
Our daughter Jillian has been an absolute joy. She has a
gentle spirit and an unending wealth of common sense. She is
also quite the social butterfly! And we are the proud owners
of two gorgeous standard poodles who grace us with their
beautiful presence every day. Gary and I just celebrated our
18th wedding anniversary and then he was off to the FBI
National Academy in Quantico, Virginia for 11 weeks. We
traveled to Europe several times, my favorite places being
Ireland, Holland and Spain, and have bought property in
Mexico on which we plan to build someday. We've been
marinating the idea of becoming foster parents, already
having been through the classes, and we now have two
15-year-old girls, in addition to Jillian. There's never a
dull moment here, and the DRAMA! But I'm having a blast! I
think it may be time to quit a couple jobs now. The 30-year
reunion was great fun, but I sure missed seeing my old pals.

be surprised if you get an extemporaneous call from me. With
all the good and bad that life brings it reminds us of how
important it is to keep in touch with each other and to live
each day with a happy heart. Trials and tribulations can be
wearing, but it's all about living in the moment and
appreciating every second you have left in this world. When
the going gets tough I always think of Job, who endured his
afflictions with fortitude and faith. Just take it as it
comes, don't worry, be happy.

myself. I passed the class and bought a 2000 Yamaha Vstar
650. I was going too fast around a curve and hit the bumper
of a truck with my leg. The truck and the bike survived with
no damage. My tibia plateau was fractured 6 mm apart. I now
am the proud owner of a plate and 4 rods in my leg. I am
recovering well and will start physical therapy in the
middle of May. I hope to be at the reunion in July since I
missed the 25th. I used up sick and vacation time recoving
at home, so I am trying to get the time off for the trip.

Reunion Message: After a few years of bouncing around from
interesting job to interesting job, a judge and I decided
that enlisting in the United States Air Force was a good way
to "re-create myself". I became a Tailgunner on the
venerable B-52 bomber that serves us so well over
Afghanistan while dropping 2,000 lb bombs. Military life
wasn't for me, even after two rather exciting years living
in Great Britain, so I served up my enlistment and was
honorably discharged in the summer of 1986. I was hired by
the City of Los Angeles in 1991, working and managing in the
Supplies and Procurement divisions in the city. I bought my
house in Montrose in 1992, and soon after that bought my
first Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I have toured most of the
western United States, with small groups and large crowds
motoring up the freeways and byways of the country. I have
recently purchased a fiberglass replica (NOT a kit car) of
an AC Cobra, and have been tearing up the roads on this
machine as well. I have two long-legged dogs that love to go
on walks all over the Crescenta Valley, one or three miles
at a time, sometimes three times a day. I work the evening
shift until 10:30 PM, by choice, as I hate to do mornings. I
always have a car at the Glendale "HOT SUMMER NIGHTS" car
show in July, and I usually make Oktoberfest and the
Montrose Christmas Parade. So, if you see me walking the
dogs in the mornings, roarin' around town on the red Harley
Softball, or cruisin' around in the blue Cobra, stop by and
say "Hello" and I'll be glad to give you a ride!
Comments: Sold the house in Montrose, and have moved to the
Shadow Hills/Sunland area, where I have a better house. The
house had most of the "desireables" that I deemed necessary,
sans the Fireplace! I also got a bigger garage to keep all
these old cars that I seem to be collecting. I still have
the Cobra, as well as the Harley Davidson, as well as the
1957 Ford Fairlane 500 two-door hardtop! I have panelled the
garage with slat-board, and have 30 to 40 posters framed and
hanging on the walls. The dog population has doubled, up to
a grand total of four dogs. I have adopted two more strays
that were roaming the neighborhood; it's great to watch the
interaction between the dogs, with all their play-fighting,
gnawing on each others' legs and throats, and running across
the yard and slamming into each other! I still walk them two
or three times a day, and I imagine we are quite a sight,
four dogs on four leashes, trooping around Shadow
Hills/Sunland. Still enjoy listening to music of most sorts
(no RAP!!!), and I spend a lot of time at the used CD stores
around town. As time goes by, it seems I see less and less
of my former classmates. But if you happen to see me, please
