My husband Doug is professor of classical guitar at SUNY Potsdam. I feel lucky to be doing what I love for a living, teaching at one and a half jobs and doing lots of playing. I play flute and piccolo in the Orchestra of Northern New York, Northern Symphonic Winds and Sweet, Fair and Wise--a flute, guitar and tenor voice trio, as well as in many solo and chamber recitals. I love to visit southern California, and try to do so every year. I have many happy ones of my days in high school, Mr. Lavoie and Miss Nute and all the music. I get the newsletters from the CVHS Band still, and am pleased as can be that the program is flourishing these days. Hope it continues, despite the budget woes of the state. Love the idea of a casual get together in a park. Comments: Hi "Y'all". I ended up a long way from home. In 1988, on a whim and recovering from a divorce, I went to NJ to visit a friend that had recently moved there. During that visit I met my current husband and moved to Trenton NJ to pursue life on the East Coast. While there I worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer. In 1997 we moved to Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia with a job transfer and got married in 1999 (that's why I missed the reunion). We love it here. Quiet, safe, clean air, low cost of living, access to wonderful places like New River Gorge, DC, Smoky Mountains, New England, Eastern Shore, even the Carribean is close by. We live in the country and the traffic jams are usually the result of cows in the road. Quite a change from the LA Freeway! There is an art to driving country roads.
